Lisa joined HealthBridge in 2010 as an intern with CIDA's International Youth Internship Program during which she was based in Vietnam for 5 months and supported staff in Vietnam and India with project development for the Gender and Reproductive Health program. In June 2011, Lisa came on board full-time as a Project Manager based in Ottawa, Canada. Her role involves leading the development and management of projects related to gender and reproductive health and providing technical assistance to local partners.
After completing her Master's in Health Studies and Gerontology at the University of Waterloo, Lisa worked at the Brant County Public Health Unit for three years where she was responsible for planning and evaluating programs that focused on infectious disease prevention, tobacco-control, work-place wellness, and substance abuse prevention. Lisa's interest in international health began after taking part in a 4-week volunteer initiative in Kenya where she conducted training and strategic planning with youth peer educators on HIV/AIDS issues.
