Steps for Change 2017

September 14 - October 12 2017 Virtual

Congratulations! We raised over $14,000 for women and children in Nepal and Vietnam.

Women and children in rural Nepal and Vietnam are at high risk of preventable death and disease, particularly during childbirth and in the first 1,000 days of a child’s life. Poverty, long distances to health facilities, and a lack of health services prevent women and children from receiving the care and nutrition they need to not only survive—but to thrive.

Steps for Change 2017 mobilized HealthBridge supporters across Canada and around the world to walk, run or roll in solidarity with vulnerable women in Nepal and Vietnam who face daily challenges for them and their children to have a healthy life from the start.

Participants challenged themselves to take 10,000 steps a day for four weeks—from September 14 to October 12. As they stepped, HealthBridge took them on a virtual journey with women in Nepal and Vietnam, where they caught a glimpse into the obstacles women and children face to access basic health services and nutrition. Along the way, participants raised over $14,000 to support HealthBridge’s maternal, newborn and child health work in these two countries.

Step up with us in October 2018!

Thank you to our 2017 sponsors!
