Dissemination Workshop for the Strengthening Health Systems and Improving Nutrition in Vietnam project

HealthBridge and partners completed the project: Strengthening health systems and improving nutrition in Vietnam. The project aimed to improve health outcomes of mothers and children under-two in two districts of Son La Province Vietnam. The project sought to build capacity to deliver quality health services and improve care-seeking, health and nutrition practices in the local communities.

Intervention finds raising chickens increases egg consumption

The findings from a HealthBridge Foundation of Canada and Centro de Comunicación y Desarrollo Andino (CENDA)-led nutrition-sensitive agricultural intervention reveal that increased chicken rearing can lead to increased egg consumption—which can lead to improved household nutrition.

From Field to Fork

The IDRC-supported project, Nutrition and food security in uplands of Vietnam and Thailand, aimed to identify local and practical solutions to improve nutrition and food security of smallholder farmers using “nutrition-sensitive agriculture” (NSA). NSA means that we focus not only on the production of more food, but also the nutritional quality of the food, and what the farmers do with the food.
