Since I don’t particularly enjoy doing push-ups, I decide to get them out of the way while I am at the beach. To make the experience even better, I do them in a soft spot in the sand, near some dogs. As I start, a large dog lies down next to me and begins an extensive stretch, looking for all the world as if he is trying to imitate me. As I pause to watch him, a puppy climbs onto my back. I, and a couple of onlookers, are now convulsed with laughter. Perhaps I can start a class for the beach dogs? Come on, stre-e-e-tch. No, no biting! Stop chasing that dog! If laughter really is the best medicine, I will be providing a great benefit to the other beach users as well.
