HealthBridge Executive Director Sian FitzGerald, pictured, recently attended the Fourth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research.

Held in Vancouver, 14-18 Nov. 2016, the meeting focused on the convergence of ‘old’ and ‘new’ challenges, and the crucial role of research in understanding and confronting these converging priorities. It stressed that health systems must be resilient – able to absorb the shocks and sustain the gains already made – or risk having decades of investment wiped out. HealthBridge presented a poster that focused on the use of mobile health (m-Health) in getting men involved in maternal and child health (MNCH).
