Saving lives of mothers and children in Nepal and Vietnam
HealthBridge is working with local partners and governments in Banke District, Nepal and Son La Province, Vietnam to reduce preventable maternal and child illness and death and improve nutrition for vulnerable mothers and children.
IMCHA: Improving access to health services and quality of care for mothers and children in Tanzania
Together with local partners, HealthBridge is examining how poverty, social and gender barriers and living in rural areas contribute to delays in access to, and the quality and utilization of, maternal and child health services in Tanzania. HealthBridge and partners are also identifying interventions to address these barriers through community-based participatory action research.
Past Projects
3M Project: Men using Mobile Phones to Improve Maternal Health
The project is developing and pilot testing a mobile health (mHealth) application to engage and educate men on maternal health care, with the overall aim of increasing women’s utilization of essential maternal health care services.
The Pakur mother and child survival project
The project worked to strengthen the rural health care system, increase care-seeking behaviour, and increase the engagement of men in supporting the health of their wives and children.
