Project
Description
India has the highest number of maternal, newborn and child deaths in the world, and rural areas are most severely affected. The majority of these deaths can be prevented with low-cost health care interventions, however, many women and children are not able to access them. HealthBridge worked with EFICOR, an Indian NGO, to increase access to life-saving health care interventions in the rural district of Pakur. The project aimed to strengthen the rural health care system, increase care-seeking behaviour, and engage men and mothers in-law in supporting the health of their wives and children.
