Deirdre Weymann

Deirdre Weymann is an Economist who joined the HealthBridge Board of Directors in 2025. She brings over ten years of health and healthcare research experience, working within academic, clinical, industry, and policy stakeholders to advance evidence generation and uptake. Deirdre works in the Regulatory Science Lab at the BC Cancer Research Institute and is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics from the University of British Columbia. Deirdre’s research applies health economic and real-world evidence methods to continuously inform policy and practice. She is eager to support equity-centred, evidence-based programs that improve global health through HealthBridge.
