1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Welcome to HealthBridge website. We are firmly committed to protecting your privacy online. It is our goal to provide you with a website that is easy to use and respects rights and expectations for privacy. Our Web Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our web site. The term “HealthBridge” or “us” or “we” or “our” refers to HealthBridge, the owner of the website. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of our website.

We never use or share your identifiable personal information provided to us online in any way without providing you an opportunity to prohibit its use or disclosure. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available from the bottom of each webpage and at every point where identifiable personal information may be requested.

HealthBridge complies with the law in all collection and processing of data. We take due care in the collection and storage of any sensitive data and our staff will take all reasonable care to keep all data accurate, timely and secure. We only use data in ways relevant to carrying out our legitimate purposes and functions as a charity. As a charity with international offices, we will share data with staff and partners abroad, but will work to ensure that all staff understand their obligations to observe data protection laws when handling data transferred overseas.

All HealthBridge staff, interns or other voluntary workers are made aware of the requirements of data collection laws. HealthBridge staff must not disclose data except with your consent or in accordance with legal requirements. Data sent to outside agencies must always be protected by a written contract. All collection and processing must be done in good faith and receive training on this Policy as part of their new staff onboarding and orientation

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons such as HealthBridge administrative staff who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. All sensitive information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

You can access your identifiable personal information that we collect and maintain by contacting us at admin@healthbridge.ca. Please allow 30 days for any information modification requests to be processed.

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third-party links on our website. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies.

HealthBridge has no control over, and therefore has no responsibility or liability for, the manner in which the organizations that operate such linked websites may collect, use, disclose or otherwise treat your personal information.
