This paper explores the range of nutrition incentive (NI) programs used around the world, offering examples of each type. It also highlights foundational programs that may contribute to improved nutrition outcomes on their own or serve as platforms for NI initiatives. By analyzing different models of NIs and the broader financial assistance programs that can serve as their foundation, this paper aims to inform policymakers, program designers, and local stakeholders about strategies to address food security and access to nutritious food among lower-income populations.
