Summary
Like many rapidly urbanizing cities, Kozhikode in Kerala, India, has experienced significant urban growth in recent years. This expansion has increased the need to preserve, enhance, and create public spaces that promote health and wellbeing. In response to the emerging urban need to enhance public spaces, ESAF initiated the Livable Cities project in 2017 in partnership with HealthBridge. One of the major objectives of this project was to improve the quality of cities by ensuring access for the most vulnerable to public spaces such as parks and beaches. This impact report details this work.
