Every year, cities around the world celebrate World Carfree Day on 22 September. Here in Dhaka, our partner Work for a Better Bangladesh and other groups organized a seminar and street programs to enjoy streets without cars. Our partners in other countries also organized colourful, festive events. But perhaps the most significant of our partner programs this year was in Nepal, where the demand was so great that RECPHEC and the other organizers expanded the program from the original plan of a couple streets for just a couple of hours on one day, to an eight-day program in several locations.
