We know that men can be key allies in maternal and child health. When men receive the right information, take care of their own reproductive health, and provide emotional and practical support to their partners and families—they build healthier futures for women and children.
That’s why we’re working closely with our partners in Nepal and Vietnam to engage men in maternal and child health. Our partners are bringing men together to talk about pre-natal and post-natal care, and why it’s important. They also talk about how they can support their pregnant partners by cooking nutritious foods, picking up some of the workload, and encouraging health check-ups.
The Great Canadian Giving Challenge is happening online from June 1 to June 30.
For the entire month of June, every dollar you give to HealthBridge Foundation of Canada enters us for a chance to win $10,000. What could we do with $10,000?
With $10,000 we could organize 352 men’s meetings in Vietnam and 132 husbands’ groups in Nepal.
The conversations we are having with men in Nepal and Vietnam are breaking gender barriers and building healthier families. Will you help us to engage men in maternal health? Will you help us to break gender barriers and build healthier families?
