On 18th February 2022, INF Nepal Kalikot office organized and inception workshop in coordination with Khandachakra Municipality of Kalikot district at Hotel Kot Durbar Hall for the Global Affairs Canada funded project: “Improving reproductive health and preventing child marriage in Nepal and Vietnam”.

The program was formally conducted by staff of INF Nepal, Kalikot office. Mayor of Khandachakra Municipality, Chief district officer of Kalikot district, Ward representative, NGO representative, Health coordinator, education coordinator and other representatives of Khandachakra Municipality, Health service office, Health post, basic health care unit representatives and a local reporter participated in the inception program. A total of 34 participants were present for the inception meeting. INF Nepal Kalikot Project coordinator Mr. Dal Budha presented the objective of the inception program, overall INF Nepal history, vision, mission, goal, strategy and working approach of INF Nepal briefly and after that he present the goal, outcome, output, activities, beneficaries, project duration and working area of improving reproductive health and preventing child marriage project. Activities were discussed in detail and after the presentation the floor was opened for feedback from the stakeholders.

All stakeholders gave positive feedback on project objectives and goal and appreciated INF’s work especially the Improving Reproductive Health and Preventing Child Marriage. They have committed to contribute towards this project through their participation and support. Overall the inception program was helpful for building good relations and coordination with local and district level bodies.
